Breaking Point – Farewell second year

With one deadline to go, second year is nearly behind me… It’s a very strange feeling, during my time at University it has mostly felt as if it’ll never end and I’ll comfortably be in Bristol forever. However, over the past few months I’ve had to think more about what I want to do afterwards. After my degree. After Bristol. When I’m in the real world…
Throughout this year and this term in particular, I’ve tried to maintain all of my extra curricular activites (which I’m so painfully keen about) while still trying to look ahead to what could be most useful for after.
I’m still infatuated with Epigram and my position of Film and TV editor, and really hope to be able to continue that next year. It’s been so great being able to apply knowledge from my degree to help people write for the newspaper, and to incorporate things that I’ve learnt along the way with Epigram in my essays.
I’m also quite sad to just come to the end of my studies- this year even more so than the last, I’ve enjoyed my degree so much. I’ve been able to write about all of my favourite films and go into such detail- and get assessed about it. I guess it is daunting as well, but so rewarding to be allowed to do what I love, full time.
Having said all of this, Summer will come as a welcome treat. A time to catch up, rewatch, sit back and recharge. Bring on third year!
