Start of Final Year

I’ve just come back from Bristol after a very long holiday (my last exam was in May), and it feels slightly strange being away from home again! This is also the start of my final year of university – it hardly feels any time at all that I’d just got my A Level results. Despite the slight stress of this year counting for 60% of my degree mark, and the slight sense of sadness that I’ll be leaving Bristol in the summer, I am excited to adjust back into my Bristol routine.
This year I am living in a flat with three other friends. We are a bit further away from the uni campus than most students (we live in the Sneyd Park area), but the rent is really cheap, considering how spacious the flat is! I’m also discovering that living further away gives more structure to my day; I leave the house to walk to the Music department each morning, have lectures, rehearsals and other work during the day time, and relax when I finally make it back to my flat.
This year I am doing two Extended Study modules: a dissertation, and performance. Here are worth 40 credits (most modules are 20 credits), but I enjoy writing a good essay, and as long as I continue to practice, my recitals will be fine. The beginning of the end!
